Through this approach, we can create schools that prioritize mental health supports, multilingual learning, school safety & belonging, and police-free schools. ✊

California just made history: $1 billion, every year, for community schools. 📊 30% less chronic absenteeism. 📊 15% fewer suspensions – with the biggest gains for Black students and English learners. 📊 Learning gains equal to 151 extra days of instruction for Black students. English learners gained about 58 extra days in math and 72 days in ELA. The data is clear: this approach works. Now it’s permanent.
